The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Clinical Exercise Physiology: The Master of Science - Clinical Exercise Physiology will equip students with the knowledge and skills to promote the prescription of exercise, both as a preventative measure and as a treatment/therapy. The programme is aimed at individuals with a background in exercise science and/or physical activity who wish to enhance their scientific knowledge and skills to be able to effectively promote the uptake of exercise, particularly for patients with hypertension, diabetes, pulmonary, renal and cardiac conditions, or those at risk of metabolic syndrome. This programme will therefore educate a new, highly skilled group of allied health professionals with the ability to work alongside clinicians and practitioners to manage the epidemic of lifestyle-related diseases and conditions.
