The Electrical Engineering Technician – Trades program at Humber College provides students with a strong foundation of both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills required to work in diverse areas of the electrical industry. The curriculum is aligned with current industry standards, preparing graduates to perform a variety of key electrical tasks such as installation, testing, maintenance, repair, analysis, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment under the guidance of qualified professionals.

The program also offers an optional co-operative education placement, available exclusively to students in the fall intake. This placement provides an opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional setting, gaining practical, career-relevant experience while developing new technical and interpersonal skills.

Students accepted into the co-op stream complete their placement between Semesters 2 and 3. Because space in the co-op option is limited, information about the application process is shared during the first semester, allowing students to apply at that time. While co-op placements are not guaranteed due to the competitive job market, Humber College supports participating students with various services and resources to assist them in securing a placement.
