One of the many reasons that students decide to study at the University of Greenwich is its location, which mixes 'big city' London with the countryside attractions of the county of Kent.
The capital is famous for its shops and restaurants, and many are perfect for the budget-conscious student.
London is a great place for socialising with friends, but it is also excellent for that other part of being a student: learning and expanding your mind. Whether it is science, history, art and design or fashion that interests you, there are a wide range of wonderful museums and galleries to explore - and, best of all, many are free!
University provides around 2,400 places in halls on or near their campuses at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway. They also run bus services between campuses, including a free shuttle bus between Greenwich and Avery Hill.
Greenwich Campus sits on a World Heritage Site and is located in the heart of Greenwich, south-east London. The neighbourhood has a lively atmosphere but is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it the ideal place to study.
The campus is surrounded by historical landmarks, as well as Greenwich Park and a selection of bars and restaurants. Many sites around the campus have been used as sets for films, such as The King's Speech, Les Misérables, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and The Queen.
