Pharmaceutical Sciences BSc (Hons) will give students the highly specialist knowledge and skills required for drug development, analytical testing of pharmaceuticals and regulatory conditions. This is an ideal course if they have a strong interest in STEM, practical lab work and problem-solving, and they will be encouraged to explore their curiosity around how medicines are discovered, developed, and delivered. This is their chance to apply scientific techniques in a hands-on way, utilising critical thinking and methodical problem-solving to tackle real healthcare challenges. This course covers a wide range of topics including pharmacology, pharmaceutical & medicinal chemistry, pharmacokinetics, drug formulation and drug delivery, while also exploring topics on the ethical, legal, and regulatory frameworks of global pharmaceuticals.

LSBU’s central London location places students close to leading pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and research centres, creating opportunities for industry links, guest lectures, and placements.
