Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - International Relations with French (L2R1)

This diverse programme allows students to combine the study of French with International Relations.

In a world of growing interdependence, the need for a wider understanding of international affairs becomes more crucial every day. The International Relations with French BA allows students to combine study of a modern language with international relations, which is itself interdisciplinary and covers such topics as politics, economics and the diplomatic history of the 20th century.

The third year is spent studying at a European university. Students will spend one third of their time in language studies two thirds taking courses in international relations. When students return to the University of Birmingham for the fourth year, they will study advanced courses in their language and in international affairs.

Students applying for this degree at the University of Birmingham will join the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS).
