Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Business Management and Entrepreneurship

The BA (Hons) Business Management and Entrepreneurship combines core business management with entrepreneurship to develop creativity, flexibility, innovation and problem-solving skills. The course is designed to equip graduates with the ability to scan the business environment, identify opportunities and progress viable commercial ideas, while also providing an ideal platform for launching new business ventures. Practical experience is embedded throughout the programme through work-related learning, live projects, case studies and business simulations, alongside a strong global perspective and a focus on ethical and responsible management. An optional placement year between the second and third year allows for further professional development and industry experience.

Developed in close consultation with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the degree offers strong professional recognition. It is one of the few programmes in the UK that enables graduates to achieve both a BA (Hons) Business Management and the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. This benchmark qualification supports full CMI membership and provides a clear pathway towards Chartered Manager status, with no additional exams or coursework required due to integrated assessments.

The course adopts a bold and entrepreneurial outlook, supporting the development of specialist skills to identify business opportunities, assess their potential and translate ideas into reality. The curriculum explores how creativity can be harnessed to solve business problems and develop improved products and services, while also examining freelancing, the challenges of launching a business and strategies for taking innovative products to market.
