2-Semester Pathway - Pre-Master's Programme - Continue to Master of Science - Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation

The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation: The Master of Science - Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation programme analyses the entrepreneur, the innovation process and the role of financial support when creating, growing and sustaining start-up companies and organisations. This programme will give students the skills and knowledge needed to assess market needs and develop new and improved products. To put the new skills and experiences that they have gained from their master's in entrepreneurship into practice, they will spend the duration of a module with a multi-talented group to work on a brief from a real company looking to solve a real social or business problem. The Collaborative Project module is the first of its kind to be organised across an entire institution, meaning their learning will be enhanced by them across every discipline.
