English Language Preparation + 2-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters - Business, Media and Social Sciences - Transfer to Master of Arts - Cultural and Creative Industries

The English Language Preparation program is a chance to improve your English language skills before beginning your pathway program. This program will you develop the required language skills to be successful in your intended pathway and degree program. 1-Semester Pathway and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English are available. 1-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (5.0 in all subskills) and 2-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 Overall (minimum 4.5 in all sub-skills).

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

The Master of Arts in Cultural and Creative Industries is for you if culture, technology, power and business excite and intrigue you.

You study cultural industries, institutions, texts, identities and practices from a critical perspective. You’ll explore the meaning of culture as politics and philosophy, and also: • explore cultural innovation, promotion and value in a fast-changing world

• understand how business, technology and the law are redefining cultural practices today • gain professional skills needed by cultural and creative organisations in the private and public sectors.
