Lakeland College - Vermilion
Это описание есть только на английском языке.
Students will be able connect with at-risk youth and children as well as learn how to support them and their families. Lakeland College provides students real world learning with four practicum placements in their two year program. They will be placed at an agency, organization or school five days a week for four weeks.
Students might even do that practicum in an international location. Every other year, students could broaden their perspective by working in a different country and culture.
Experience the benefit of the unique-in-Canada animal assisted therapy elective.
Along the way students will develop knowledge and skills such as: • observing, reporting and assessing skills in case management situations • building therapeutic relationships • helping children and youth who have behavioral or learning difficulties • supporting family interventions • recognizing symptoms of abuse and addiction • building resiliency • working with children and youth in diverse settings
This program is accredited by the Child and Youth Care Educational Accreditation Board of Canada (CYCEAB).
