Students in the Environmental Control Graduate Certificate program at Cambrian College are trained to monitor and protect the health of the environment. The program prepares learners to work outdoors and make a difference by developing the technical and analytical skills needed to assess and monitor air, water, soil, and ecological systems, with particular attention to ecosystems affected by the mining industry. Participants learn from professors who are active professionals in the field and gain both hands-on monitoring experience and the reporting expertise necessary to address environmental challenges and contribute to environmental site and impact assessments.

Graduates of the program pursue careers with leading environmental and engineering consulting firms such as Golder and Associates, Wood/AMEC, and Blumetric, as well as with government ministries and non-governmental organizations.
