Students who value independent thinking and are looking for a pathway to research degrees and enhanced career opportunities, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) could be ideal for them. In this optional year of specialized study, students will conduct in-depth research on a topic they are passionate about and develop advanced research skills and disciplinary knowledge through coursework.

Deakin University’s experienced academics will supervise students as they work on their thesis and engage with the wider discourse around their chosen topic. Students will improve their critical and constructive thinking and gain practical research skills they can use in a range of private and public sectors to positively impact issues they care about.
