Red River College Polytechnic - South Winnipeg
Это описание есть только на английском языке.
The Electrical Trades certificate is a one-year program offered at RRC Polytech’s Notre Dame and South Winnipeg campuses, with intake in the Fall term. The program includes a two-week Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placement in an industry setting, allowing students to gain practical, on-the-job experience. While it is not an apprenticeship program, it may provide credit transfer opportunities toward apprenticeship training.
The program is designed to equip students with the foundational knowledge and skills required for a career in the electrical trade. Developed in consultation with industry partners, the curriculum focuses on key areas such as electrical safety, electrical code, and wiring practices. Students gain a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training, preparing them for work in residential and commercial electrical environments.
As part of the program, students participate in a WIL placement where they work alongside industry professionals and apply their skills in real-world settings. Prior to starting, students are invited to attend an information session and complete diagnostic assessments in math and reading to evaluate program readiness. Graduates can pursue further training through apprenticeship pathways supported by Apprenticeship Manitoba.
