University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) (BH130) The RMIT Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) is designed for high-achieving students seeking advanced careers in health and medical research or related government, medical, and industry sectors. The program develops a broad understanding of the structure and function of the human body in both health and disease, alongside advanced knowledge and technical skills in specialised areas during the honours year.

RMIT’s biomedical science research strengths include respiratory health and disease, cancer, neurological disorders, translational immunology and infectious diseases, pharmacology and drug development, prenatal origins of health and disease, and mind and body rehabilitation.

Students learn alongside leading researchers in state-of-the-art facilities and can participate in the Academic Community of Excellence (ACE) program. This initiative connects research-focused students with industry and research partners, offering networking opportunities, insights into research careers, and mentorship from experienced professionals.
