University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Certificate IV - Custom-Made Footwear (C4389) (094157A) RMIT’s Certificate IV in Custom Made Footwear develops students’ technical and practical skills to design and produce custom-made footwear, with a focus on design, pattern making, manufacturing and the presentation of finished products.

The program is designed to prepare students for careers in bespoke footwear production or small-scale manufacturing. Students gain an understanding of the environments in which footwear is created and develop the skills required at each stage of the construction process.

From freehand sketches to computer-aided design and technical drawings, students learn how to design and produce footwear, as well as prepare, cut and sew components using a range of materials to create original, custom-made shoes.
