4-Term Pre-Master's for Business, Law and Social Sciences - Continue to Master of Laws - European Law

Program Description For students who hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at City, University of London. The course length is determined mainly by English language level (UKVI IELTS score).

Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take additional modules designed to improve one or more of their English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Master of Laws - European Law

The Specialist Master of Laws (LLM) in European Law provides students with the knowledge, skills and insight required for the practice and application of European Law. The City Law School is one of very few Higher Education institutions in the UK offering as broad a range of electives in European legal subjects.

This exciting course will equip students with the fundamentals of European Law including free movement rules within the EU, European business regulation, European public law, European procedural law, and European Competition law. Other less common areas, including human rights would also be investigated in the key electives. Students will have the opportunity to research novel and developing areas of European law under the guidance of expert tutors.
