Double Degree Bachelor of Arts - Psychology & Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance (Optional Co-op)

With a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Management (B.A./B.Mgt.) degree, the student can explore a multitude of interests and careers. For example, if the student is interested in managing an art gallery, they can major in art and general management. If sports marketing ignites their passion, they can major in kinesiology and marketing. The Combined B.A./B.Mgt. degree program takes five years (50 courses) to complete and leads to the conferral of two degrees. Bachelor of Management - Finance

Finance is the study of financial decision making in investment, portfolio management and corporate finance as well as managing risk, financial innovations in a dynamic business environment. Finance students study areas such as corporate and personal finance, investments, global finance, financial technology (FinTech), Financial Institutions and Markets, and Derivatives. They will develop skills using excel, statistical, trading and portfolio management software and draw from fields such as economics, accounting, and social responsibility as you prepare for career opportunities in the areas of banking, investments, international finance, trading, risk management and more. Students have the opportunity for hands-on financial trading through our Student Managed Investment Fund.

Bachelor of Arts - Psychology

Psychology delves into what makes people tick. Psychologists study the relationship between mind and behaviour by investigating the nature of thought processes and behaviours in humans and other animals.

Psychologists also study the evolutionary, social and cultural factors affecting the development of human thoughts and behaviours, focusing on topics that have a direct bearing on people's day-to-day experience.

A major in Psychology will help students develop skills in analyzing and interpreting complex material, particularly as it relates to behaviour. Students will learn theories of how people interpret the world and act in it, as well as theories of human behaviour.

Psychology students will learn from those at the forefront of psychological research. The faculty members are regularly published in the top journals and make an ongoing contribution to an ever-advancing field.

Students will inevitably become savvy and critical consumers of evidence-based information related to people’s behaviour such as self-help, psychological and medical advice.
