Double Degree - Bachelor of Arts - History & Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting (Optional Co-op)

With a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Management (B.A./B.Mgt.) or a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Management (B.Sc./B.Mgt.) degree, students can explore a multitude of interests and careers. For example, for candidates who are interested in managing an art gallery, they can major in art and general management. For those who are interested in sports marketing, they can major in kinesiology and marketing.

The Combined B.A./B.Mgt. or B.Sc./B.Mgt. degree program takes five years (50 courses) to complete and leads to the conferral of two degrees.

History as an academic discipline examines the past to explain how society got to where it is today. The world is politically, economically, and socially complex; to engage it effectively and better understand society, students must first understand the many historical factors that shaped society. Historians work to sharpen the collective memory of society.

History students will learn about great leaders of the past and what ordinary people believed and valued — how they lived, worshiped, worked, fought and died. They will have the opportunity to take thematic and regional courses in ancient, medieval and modern history from the geographic areas that shaped the world today.

Accountants are central to the operations and strategies of all types of organizations as well as the foundation of short- and long-term success. Accountant students provide business and financial advice by measuring, analyzing, forecasting and reporting organizational performance, resources and risk. They are required to have integrity and the ability to think critically, communicate, and interact with others effectively.

Accounting students gain technical skills and learn how to address a broad range of business problems. They will acquire and practice the skills needed for success, including writing and presenting, using professional tools and case analyses. They study financial reporting, individual and corporate taxation, business analytics and information systems, auditing, management control systems and costing, as well as variety of other management disciplines.
