The quality function is a critical part of every type of organization, including manufacturing, service, healthcare, and non-profit. This program is designed for people wanting to work in quality related jobs (quality engineering, quality control, quality assurance), and to add critical skill sets to people working in a wide variety of operations positions (supply chain, logistics, production/service delivery). The aim of the Certificate in Quality and Process Management is to develop job ready graduates with expertise in the rigorous and analytical application of quality tools and methodologies to manage and improve business. The program goals are that by the end of the program, graduates are able to: • Apply a suite of knowledge, methodologies, and skills required to select, plan, execute, and control the quality management function in a business or organization, including: • Apply quality planning and control methods including the construction of quality plans. • Apply methodologies and tools to improve business processes. • Describe the elements of a good quality management system and assess and close gaps in current performance. • Apply quality auditing techniques to assess compliance to various quality standards.

• Analyze the quality function requirements in the strategic context of an organization and the external environment. • Outline the role of project and change management in the implementation of quality management techniques. • Illustrate the importance of leadership, team skills, and communication in managing and improving product and process quality.
