2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Art, Media and Architecture - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Music Journalism

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Art, Media and Architecture will provide you the skills and tools necessary for success in an undergraduate degree in an array of fields such as design, media, journalism and even fashion design. During your time at the University of Huddersfield, you will study core subjects as well as optional subjects as media campaigns intentionally crafted for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield.

Music and journalism are two of the most exciting and creative industries to work in. Our BA in Music Journalism lets you combine your shared passions for sound, social media and the written word.

The course aims to give you a practical grounding in the styles and techniques of music journalism. You’ll look at everything from writing for the printed page to making compelling videos, plus radio shows, podcasts and social media platforms. You’ll be taught by international recognised tutors who are leading the way in the growing area of media participation. Writers, broadcasters, academics and researchers all contribute, and our staff regularly work for national newspapers and magazines.
