Extended Master of Arts - International Tourism and Aviation Management (July)

The Extended Masters and Enhanced Extended Masters programmes at the University of West London are intended for students who already have an undergraduate degree but do not meet the entry requirements to study for a Masters degree. Over a full-time semester, students will study four modules specially designed to improve their academic and English language skills:

• Advanced Study Skills • Critical Thinking, Analysis and Evaluation • Statistics • English (Business English on the Enhanced course)

The Enhanced Extended Masters is similar to the Extended Masters, but with a greater focus on improving students’ English skills. It also includes a Business English module, which will allow students to gain a full understanding of this critical subject area.

Once completed, students will progress directly onto the core Masters course.

The International Tourism and Aviation Management Masters degree at the University of West London benefits from the robust resurgence of the tourism and aviation industries post-coronavirus pandemic, making it an ideal time for students to study for an international tourism and aviation degree.

By drawing upon international case study material, students will improve their understanding of the global operations for both the tourism and aviation sectors.

The course’s blended teaching and learning strategy makes use of:

Additionally, online learning support materials will be central to students’ studies.

Throughout their studies, students will be assessed through essays, reports, presentations, case studies, portfolios, audits, in-class tests, project plans, industry-based briefs, business games and workplace simulations, to name but a few.

The course aims to equip students with the academic and industry-specific skills required to find suitable employment within a service-based industry.
