2-Term Pathway - Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Certificate - Transfer to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Physics - Medical Physics

If a student has finished high school but does not meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them to gain entry to an undergraduate degree. Admission to the University of Nottingham can be gained through a pathway course at the University of Nottingham International College. Students will be part of a large international student population at the University of Nottingham. The Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre is home to the university’s MRI scanners, and is named after a colleague who won the Nobel Prize for his part in its invention.

Tailored modules such as Functional Medical Imaging and Molecular Biophysics will give students a specialist understanding of medical physics. Students will also study the core physics modules to give a deeper knowledge of this exciting subject.

This course will also give students a real practical experience of hospital physics at the Queens Medical Centre. Benefit from specialist lectures by senior practising medical physicists. There is flexibility to transfer between most physics degrees after the first year.
