Graduate Certificate - Artificial Intelligence Development and Applications (PAIDR) (Optional Co-op)

Become a skilled AI professional Help fill Canada's need for skilled professionals who can build and operate artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This program will teach students core technical skills in AI and machine learning, and how to create solutions to real-world problems. They will also learn how to apply those solutions in ethical ways that protect people and businesses.

Learn about many areas of AI and data science In the first semester, students will study the basics of data analysis and AI principles. They will then build on that knowledge with advanced skills in programming, data analysis, AI model development, machine learning, data visualization and more. This program also integrates other disciplines such as cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) systems, preparing students to work in a broad range of industries.

Hands-on experiences that make you job-ready Gain experience and build industry connections before graduation. Apply skills through class projects solving real-world problems, and practice integrating AI systems with business workflow through a capstone project. Students will then spend their final semester completing a co-op placement or workplace simulation to help understand industry demands and expectations.

Preparation for industry certifications As a graduate of Sheridan’s Artificial Intelligence Development and Applications graduate certificate program, students will be prepared to earn industry-recognized certifications, including:

• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) • Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer • Microsoft Certified: Azure Al Engineer Associate • Certified Data Scientist (CDS)

This program aligns with best practices set forth by globally recognized associations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in the fields of AI, machine learning and data science.
