2-Term Pathway - Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Certificate - Transfer to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Physics - Nanoscience

Program Description If a student has finished high school but does not meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them to gain entry to an undergraduate degree. Admission to the University of Nottingham can be gained through a pathway course at the University of Nottingham International College. Students will be part of a large international student population at the University of Nottingham. It is a member of the elite Russell Group, and is consistently ranked among the world’s best schools.

Nottingham is home to Nobel Prize-winning research and the popular Sixty Symbols YouTube channel.

Tailored modules such as Nanophysics and Imaging and Manipulating Nanostructures will develop specialist expertise in this field. Students will also study the core physics modules to give a broad understanding of this exciting subject.

Students will draw from the the expertise of the internationally-recognised Nottingham Nanoscience Research Group. The school's research-active staff give 'Gold-rated' teaching informed by the latest developments in the field (Teaching Excellence Framework 2017). There is flexibility to transfer between most physics degrees after the first year.
