Electricity is everywhere, and the demand for skilled workers with the ability to control it is never going to go away. The Electrical Trades program at ATC is accredited by Apprenticeship Manitoba under the trades of Construction Electrician, Industrial Electrician, and Power Electrician. It is designed to train students as a Level 1 Electrical Apprentice ready to gain employment in a thriving trade.

The program provides a strong foundation in residential and commercial wiring and a variety of other electrical installations. The teacher-led classroom environment with on-site lab facility, places heavy emphasis on safe work practices and interpreting the Canadian Electrical Code.

ATC has developed an eight-credit program package focused specifically on all nine Essential Skills identified by Workplace Education Manitoba as requirements to be successful in any workplace. Skills such as reading blueprints, teamwork, numeracy, and problem solving, will prepare students with a strong foundation to begin a career in the electrical industry.
