Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) technicians install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems used for the environmental control of buildings and product processes. This includes work on a wide variety of equipment types including residential (homes), commercial (restaurants, offices, hotels), institutional (schools, hospitals), and industrial (manufacturing plants).
