University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Information Technology (BP162P23) (110803E) RMIT’s Bachelor of Information Technology equips students with the knowledge to solve, support, analyse, troubleshoot and design a wide range of digital solutions, from websites and business applications to networked systems for public and private organisations.

The program offers flexibility for students to design their own career pathway, including the option to complete a major in cyber security, enterprise system development or digital innovation.

Students can also choose from 15 IT specialisations (minors), each featuring industry-relevant subjects aligned with emerging digital technologies. These areas of study develop skills in cloud computing, programming, data analysis, networking, data science, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics and business information systems.

Work-integrated learning is embedded throughout the degree, providing students with opportunities to gain hands-on industry experience and build a professional network while they study.
