The three-year Electromechanical Engineering Technology advanced diploma equips students with the skills to design, maintain, and repair electromechanical systems. This three-year advanced diploma provides comprehensive training in designing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical systems. Aimed at students without prior post-secondary experience, it covers essential skills in the electromechanical field, including analysis, modification, and maintenance of complex systems, as well as robotics, PLC automation, and pneumatic control circuits. Students can earn FANUC Robotics Certification through Fanshawe’s training. Additionally, students will gain proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, vital for mechanical print design and electromechanical machinery development. The program features a 15-week capstone project to showcase mastery of electromechanical principles. A key aspect is the co-operative education component, providing valuable paid workplace experience and a strong foundation for careers in advanced manufacturing, process development, commissioning, maintenance, controls development, product design, and technical sales.
