Post-Baccalaureate Diploma - Global Leadership in Sustainable Tourism

Tourism is one of British Columbia's most vital industries, generating thousands of jobs and contributing nearly $10 billion to the province's economy.

As global challenges, particularly those related to climate change, become more pressing, there is an increasing demand for future leaders who understand the importance of developing and managing tourism responsibly.

This two-year program has been condensed into 16 months and is tailored for individuals holding bachelor's degrees who aspire to become agents of positive change by advocating for sustainable tourism practices.

Upon completing the program, graduates are eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) for up to three years.

In the classroom, students will develop the skills needed to lead initiatives in hospitality and tourism, striving to balance economic growth, cultural integrity, and environmental sustainability.

The program includes courses on tourism and climate change, environmental stewardship, and food sovereignty, along with training in policy advocacy, community engagement, and ethical business management.
