University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering (Honours) (BH070P23) (110991G) The RMIT Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours) provides students with the skills to become professional and highly employable mechanical engineers in both national and international contexts. The program begins with a strong foundation in engineering sciences, mathematics, design, and professional practice during the first two years.

As they progress, students can tailor their studies by focusing on mechanical engineering or related areas such as manufacturing, automotive engineering, business, mathematics, or computing. The degree emphasises practical learning through design-and-build projects that encourage creative and sustainable engineering solutions, as well as participation in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge.

In the final year, students complete a capstone project that allows them to integrate, apply, and critically reflect on the knowledge and skills developed throughout their studies.
