Program Description Foundation Studies Program (Fast Track) - Physical Science (X0G:5) (0100809): The Foundation Studies program is a direct academic pathway to first-year undergraduate degree study, or an equivalent. The program acts as a bridging course for international students who wish to study a university undergraduate degree course but who don’t yet meet academic requirements and/or have the English language skills for tertiary study.

To successfully complete the program, students must achieve a 50% pass in all units, including English.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates can enter one of the University of Tasmania’s undergraduate degree courses.

Bachelor of Science - Marine Biology (P3O): The University of Tasmania’s science degree provides students with a foundation of core skills in science, analysis, and rational thinking. They have options to focus their study in one or more scientific disciplines and learn the methods to apply their skills and knowledge to the practical needs of industry, business, and government in both scientific and non-scientific roles.

In choosing a Bachelor of Science students can: • Select one or two science majors from the University of Tasmania's 21 exciting options, plus expand their educational experience and study units of their choice from across the University. • Explore a range of study options through their choice of electives, discovering potential new areas of interest even after they start studying. • Learn through hands-on practical experience including laboratory work, field trips, field-based units, and research projects. • Enjoy being mentored by highly qualified staff, many of whom are national and world leaders in their field.
