Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Social Sciences (L520)

The BSc (Hons) Social Sciences at the University of West London prepares students to understand and tackle the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving world through an interdisciplinary approach.

During the course, students will focus on central topics within social science and learn about human behaviour and social interactions at various levels, from individual and family to community and national contexts.

With guidance from expert teaching staff, students will explore a range of societal topics, including crime, democracy, globalisation, decolonisation, inequalities in education and social justice, with a focus on inequity, sustainability and inclusion.

Throughout the degree, students will be encouraged to consider multiple perspectives and understand diverse viewpoints, developing intercultural skills that are essential in an increasingly globalised world.
