University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Psychology (BP154P23) (110984F) The RMIT Bachelor of Psychology provides students with a broad range of knowledge and skills in human behaviour. The program covers key areas such as personality, psychopathology, psychotherapy, and explores social, developmental, biological, and cognitive psychology, along with research methods.

Psychology focuses on understanding how people think and feel, and how these processes influence behaviour. Graduates gain insight into working with individuals to assess mental states and their impact, as well as understanding approaches to research and treatment, including counselling, to address distress and behavioural challenges across diverse populations such as children, adults, couples, families, and organisations.

Throughout the degree, students study topics including perception and consciousness, learning theories, memory, cognition, emotion, motivation, and stress. They also undertake subjects in health, wellbeing and nutrition, counselling and virtual care, and working with psychological health.

The program is based on the Scientist-Practitioner Model, enabling students to apply research knowledge to real-world situations and human problems. This degree also provides a foundation for further study toward becoming a practising psychologist.
