The University of Liverpool MSc in Advanced Computer Science is intended for graduates who already have a first degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject, and who wish to extend the knowledge gained in their undergraduate study with more advanced specialized material reflecting current research at the “cutting-edge” of the discipline.
The programme comprises a sequence of modules focussing on the research strengths of the department. The programme is directed at careers in the IT industry that require a degree of research and development. The taught components of Liverpool's MScs cover a range of contemporary computing topics and provide students with a strong theoretical basis, as well as develop critical analysis and practical skills.
