Business touches every aspect of daily life. Whether it's earning, spending, saving or managing money, people are conducting business. Whether receiving or providing goods or services, people conduct business frequently. Almost everything can be traced back to at least one business transaction. People who study business in school often go on to work in finance, accounting, retail or sales. Others start their own businesses. Many others take on management or financial roles in other organizations. When it comes to careers in business, the possibilities are endless. The Associate in Science in Business Administration for Transfer (AS-T) degree program is designed as the primary pathway for transfer students intending to earn a baccalaureate degree in business administration at a California State University (CSU). Successful completion of the AS-T in Business Administration allows priority admissions into the CSU system, but not a particular campus or major. Students who complete this program will have completed the lower-division requirements for transfer to the CSU system, and have acquired the necessary analytical tools to successfully secure gainful employment in most business-related fields.
