Master of Arts - Digital Fashion, Innovation and AI

The Digital Fashion, Innovation and AI MA at Middlesex University explores digital fashion storytelling, worldbuilding, brand innovation, and AI-enhanced creative practice. Core modules include Creative Practice and AI, Digital Fashion Innovation for Sustainable Consumer Engagement, and Fashion, AI and Data-Driven Futures. Through taught sessions and embedded, credit-bearing work experience modules, students develop advanced knowledge in audience analytics, sustainable design, and global fashion ecosystems, culminating in a major self-directed project or industry collaboration.

The program equips students with creative and technical skills to lead in digital fashion innovation, covering design, storytelling, brand strategy, and content creation. It emphasizes AI-driven workflows and data analytics for sustainable and ethical fashion. Based in London, a global hub for fashion, media, and creative technology, students have access to professional networks and industry experts. Real-world experience is gained through work-based learning and live briefs with partners across fashion, design, brand, and media sectors.

Graduates build a portfolio of cross-platform digital and phygital fashion artefacts, integrating AI, digital media production, visual communication, and real-time market and trend-led data. The program prepares students for careers in fashion media production, digital communications, creative entrepreneurship, creative technology, gaming, VR/AR studios, fashion content creation, and strategic trend forecasting.

The course is delivered within MDX Studios’ state-of-the-art facilities, including studios for film, radio, digital media, VFX, animation, and virtual production, as well as recording studios and suites for post-production, editing, color grading, and Pro Tools. Students also engage with the creative industries and local community through partnerships with Screen London Barnet and leading regional studios, including Troubadour.

MA programmes feature one- and two-year options with embedded, credit-bearing work placements on live industry projects.
