The Infections, Immunology, Virology and Parasitology grouping offers a range of PhD and MRes courses, including Immunology, Virology, Parasitology, and Microbiology. The supervisors in the school are leaders in their respective fields, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to guide students in advancing their chosen area of life sciences.
While the degree and research focus are unique to each student, examples of current research within the Infections, Immunology, Virology and Parasitology fields include the development of antifungals, genetic resistance to antifungal drugs, interactions between pathogens and hosts, and serological analysis for vaccine trials.
