University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Double Degree - Bachelor of Engineering - Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering (Honours) & Bachelor of Computer Science (BH091ECH26) (118519M) The RMIT Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering) (Honours) / Bachelor of Computer Science double degree equips students with extensive knowledge of computer system architecture, software design, and the skills required to develop embedded hardware and network-based computer systems. The program combines engineering and computing to prepare graduates for complex, technology-driven environments.

The computer science component develops skills ranging from theoretical and algorithmic foundations to advanced areas of computing, including systems infrastructure, software methods and technologies, and application development. The engineering component focuses on embedded systems and smart devices, as well as large-scale network design and the implementation of digital communication networks used by major industries.

Students can tailor their studies across a range of in-demand areas, including the Internet of Things (IoT), software engineering, artificial intelligence, sensor networks, high-performance parallel processing, real-time embedded systems, signal processing, and programming.
