Prepare for a career as a welder through courses that combine theory and hands-on instruction and cover how to work with metals using industry processes and tools.

In this diploma program, students will gain welding and fabrication knowledge to allow them to interpret drawings, standards and specifications as well as an overview of welding codes. Students will learn about welding fabrication procedures while using current and emerging technologies.

Graduates of the Welding and Fabrication Technology program benefit from a high level of industry demand, having achieved recognized training equivalent to the four periods of the Welder apprenticeship program.

Note: This program meets the eligibility criteria for the Post-Graduation Work Permit program for international students as long as the student is enrolled in the on-campus delivery mode or completes more than 50% of the courses on campus (for the blended option). International students attending all classes online will NOT be eligible for a Post-Graduate Work Permit. International students are responsible for maintaining their eligibility throughout their studies.
