Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Business Management with Law (Placement Year) (N2M2)

Program Description Students will take advantage of the University of Law's close links between business and law for an undergraduate degree designed to give them the best balance of business management and legal knowledge to help them kick-start their career.

Underpinned with the key aspects of business and management, this BSc Business Management with Law course specialises in areas including the gig economy, ethics, business law and international corporate law. Teaching is delivered by business and legal professionals with a focus on what is important to students - employability.

This degree is for those wishing to pursue a career in corporations within the commercial transactions or business development areas, where legal aspects together with financial elements are of key relevance.

Students will also have an opportunity to qualify for the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership, dependent on successful completion of relevant modules.

The first year of the course will explore the foundation elements of business management. Years Two and Three will then examine these areas in greater depth together with law modules. Some of these Law modules will be shared with LLB students. Throughout the course, students will get to develop transferable skills such as research, presentation, critical analysis, problem solving, team work and entrepreneurship.

Students will be equipped with the knowledge and expertise required to add immediate value to any business organisation.

Students will undertake a Placement Year working for an employer. With the supervision and support of academics, a Placement Year gives students the chance to gain real world experience, develop leadership skills, and take a significant first step into the highly competitive business world.
