With an Associate of Science degree, students will be prepared to transfer to a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) program at the university of their choice.
Engineering is the application of mathematics, science, and practical experience to invent, innovate, design, build, maintain, research and improve products that impact people’s lives. At Seattle Central, students can complete all of the coursework to earn an A.S. (Associate of Science degree) to transfer to a four-year college or university. Depending on the type of engineering they are interested in, they can choose courses in the natural sciences, computer science, math and engineering. If they are interested in an engineering degree, Seattle recommends that they start with ENGR 110 (Engineering Orientation), where they will learn about career options and transfer requirements, as well as meet with academic advisors and industry guest speakers.
Applicants may choose to transfer their degree internally or through other external institutions. Seattle Colleges has an agreement with the following institutions where students may choose to transfer with conditional admission: • Arizona State University • City University of Seattle • Eastern Washington University • Embry Riddle Aeronautical University • Montana State University • San Francisco State University • Seattle Pacific University • State University of New York, Oswego • Washington State University • Western Washington University
