Master of Research - Analytical Chemistry

The Master of Research in Analytical Chemistry at Nottingham Trent University is designed for analytical professionals seeking to update and extend their knowledge of analytical chemistry, as well as recent graduates from a wide range of science disciplines related to chemistry. The course provides students with the advanced knowledge, skills, and attributes required to begin or progress a career in Analytical Chemistry and its sub-disciplines, or to form a solid foundation for entry into PhD-level study. It serves as an ideal progression route for those with backgrounds in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, or Physics. Through a series of core modules, students enhance their understanding of chemical analysis and have the opportunity to tailor their learning by selecting optional modules and undertaking a research project in analytical chemistry within one of the University’s diverse and internationally recognised research groups. Students explore key analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectroscopic methods in drug analysis.
