The most important consideration for a student as a pre-professional should be a major that they are passionate about, not what they think might be the best ticket into medical school. This program includes a sequence of courses required for medical school, with a strong emphasis in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Admission to professional schools for MD, DC, DVM or DO degrees will always be highly competitive, and while a degree with an emphasis in pre-medicine does not guarantee that a student will be accepted, the curriculum provides students with the academic support to prepare them to take the MCAT (the Medical College Admission Test), as well as for the challenging environment of medical school.
