2-Semester Pathway - Foundation Pathway Marine, Coast & Ocean Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology

The University of Plymouth International College's coastal location provides the perfect setting for navigation, marine and ocean studies. After completing the Foundation in Marine, Coast and Ocean Sciences, students will join Europe’s largest marine institute and the only university-based diving and marine center in the United Kingdom.

Special features of the program: • First year direct entry available for Bachelor of Science (Hons) Oceanography and Coastal Processes, Bachelor of Science (Hons) Ocean Exploration and Surveying and Bachelor of Science (Hons) Ocean Science and Marine Conservation • Access the largest number of humanoid robots in Europe • Fieldwork opportunities and optional placement year • Marine building with state-of-the-art facilities, including a full-size ship simulator and wave basin.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology will explore the diversity of marine life from the coast to the deep-sea. They will use a range of marine organisms from the smallest microbes to the largest marine vertebrates, and will learn the functions of marine species and ecosystem, consider the reason humans see such diversity of life in the oceans, and learn to conserve this.
