Bachelor of Science - Computer Science (Optional Co-op) (UZF)

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science equips students with robust skills in algorithm analysis and design across procedural, object-oriented, and low-level programming languages, while also offering an optional introduction to functional, parallel, and logical paradigms. The faculty recognizes that hands-on experience is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of computing fundamentals; therefore, students will engage extensively in laboratory work. In their senior years, they will have the opportunity to select courses in various application areas, including internet computing, mobile application development, applied cryptography, and quantum computing. Furthermore, students will acquire essential experience in collaborative work, project management, and time management. The Computer Science program provides students with exposure not only to software but also to the hardware that underpins computer and embedded systems. This dual focus fosters a fundamental understanding of digital systems and microprocessors, as well as an appreciation for the interplay between hardware and software.
