The Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising provides students with an introduction to the business of fashion with a firm foundation in the concepts and problem-solving skills of Fashion Merchandising. Once earned, the Associate’s degree can also be used as a stepping stone to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Undergraduate students will meet the following student performance criteria: Research and Concept Development • Develop informed point of view or concept by conducting effective research

Fashion Merchandising • Source, edit and select the appropriate product for a target customer

Presentation Skills • Clearly express ideas utilizing fashion industry vocabulary • Conduct professional PowerPoint presentations • Express ideas in written form

Collaboration Skills • Work effectively in a team

Professional Readiness • Produce basic materials required for an entry-level job search
