What you will study

Students will be trained to think systematically and creatively while exploring the beauty of mathematics. Once they complete the Foundation in Mathematics, they will be ready to further advance their knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, numerical methods, pure mathematics, and probability.

Students as the University of Plymouth graduate will choose specialist modules as part of a flexible degree program; gaining a multitude of transferable skills alongside the option of a placement year.

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Statistics offers graduates an opportunity to combine their passion for mathematics with the latest statistical modelling and data analysis methods with many real-world applications. They will explore topics from familiar areas such as calculus, algebra and probability in a new and inspiring way, and extend their knowledge into more advanced topics such as statistical modelling and computer simulations, with applications in medicine and finance.
