What you will study

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Information Systems course explores the application of technology in business and industry. Bangor University will provide a grounding in computing, the construction and use of database systems, new technologies, systems administration, artificial intelligence and business information systems. Students will understand the fundamentals underpinning computer information systems and will apply them to society and business. Through theory and hands-on practice, they will learn to leverage technology in a business setting, giving them the competitive edge. Crucially they will understand the drivers for the future trends in this fast-moving area.

After graduating students will be equipped to manage and develop computational technology systems for a broad range of user’s needs. This course will also prepare them for the workplace by teaching a range of professional skills, including communication, teamwork, time-management and independent learning alongside an awareness of relevant legal, social and ethical issues.
