Overview
The Addiction Studies A.S. degree program is designed for students pursuing employment as a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor, also called Certified Addictions Treatment Counselors (CATC’s), in the State of California. AOD Counselors help individuals deal with substance abuse and dependency issues. It incorporates the Addiction Counseling Competencies published by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse Treatment Administration.
