What you will study

Approximately 150 million individuals worldwide speak Russian, a language that holds significant importance in both global cultural and political spheres. Russian serves as the official language in four countries, possesses widespread comprehension throughout Eastern Europe, and has experienced an unprecedented level of transnational mobility within the past three decades.

By pursuing the study of Russian and History, individuals can gain a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary world while also illuminating the events of the past. This joint honors program offers the opportunity to acquire proficiency in the Russian language, explore Russian literature and culture, and develop a deep awareness of Russia's political and historical contexts.

Within the field of History, students will engage with the broader aspects of human history, examining primary sources and critically analyzing a diverse range of historical texts.
