Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Law with Business (with Foundation Year)

Program Description The combined 4 year programme allows students with lower academic marks, or whose qualifications are not equivalent to British A Levels, to gain the necessary qualifications to proceed to undergraduate study. After completing the Foundation Year, students will be eligible to progress to a number of University of Chester undergraduate programmes. By studying Law alongside Business, students will explore the links between the business world and the legal system as they embark on a professionally recognised Law degree with a strong business element. In studying Law (LLB) students will explore all aspects of the legal system from a practical professional basis to a wider social and theoretical setting. At Chester, they maintain strong links with the local legal profession and offer extracurricular opportunities, such as mooting, debating and guest lectures, to further enhance their employability. As well as covering the major legal areas one would expect, at Chester they provide a number of optional modules, allowing students to develop their studies to their own interests. At Chester, they use links with the local legal community to enhance their provision (e.g. guest lectures) and to help students make the most of their Work Based Learning placements during the second year.
